Who is Lewis Caralla?

Lewis Caralla joined Georgia Tech’s football staff as head football strength and conditioning coach in 2019. Even prior to coming on board head coach Geoff Collins’ staff in 2019, Caralla was familiar with Georgia Tech, as he previously served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Yellow Jackets in 2010-11, working with the Jackets’ football program and directing the strength program for Tech’s nationally ranked golf team.

Lewis Caralla is in his fourth season as Georgia Tech’s head football strength and conditioning coach. Caralla has previously served as the head strength and conditioning coach for three different NCAA Division I FBS programs, most recently at Buffalo, where he was named Football Scoop’s 2018 Strength Coach of the Year.

Lewis’s career stops also include directing strength and conditioning at Louisiana-Lafayette and North Texas and serving as an assistant at Michigan, Mississippi State, and Georgia Tech. Lewis’s previous stint at Georgia Tech came in 2010-11. Originally from Tarpon Springs, Fla., Caralla and his wife, Lori, have three children: Marshall, Ali, and Ava.
